We have been deeply saddened, disturbed, and angered by the senseless murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, Rayshard Brooks, and countless others before them. We recognize the deep wounds we as a country are living through and are committed to doing our part for this necessary healing.

A Path That Fits stands together with the Black Community in solidarity: Black Lives Matter.

We are writing to share our response with you, our community of clients and colleagues, so that we can all work together for justice and equity. Toward that goal, we are evolving A Path That Fits into an anti-racist organization that actively works to dismantle racism and white supremacy and support equity and inclusivity.

While we have a lot to learn and are very much in the beginning stages of this project, we have started to take action. These actions are based largely on the work and resources provided by Ibram X. Kendi, Trudi Lebron, and Rachel Rodgers about how to practice anti-racism and create anti-racist organizations.

We know this is a life long endeavor and will continue to share updates about what we are doing to actively practice anti-racism in our organization. We are committed to listening, learning, and taking action to bring about the needed changes within ourselves, our organization, our community, and in society.

Please join us in this project. We invite you to share your experience as it relates to this project, and any feedback or ideas you have for us. You can email us here. Being in conversation and collaboration with you is essential to the success of this effort.

In solidarity and action,

– Adrian, Daniel, Gracie, Iris, Matti, and Emily
