We Are Committed To Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging
Since our inception, A Path That Fits has strived to create a safe and supportive space that welcomes and values everyone’s unique experience and authentic self. We stand against discrimination on any basis including, but not limited to, race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, physical ability, nationality, socio-economic status, religious beliefs, and any other characteristics that are a part of our identity and humanness. We welcome you, as you are, and appreciate your willingness to share your beautiful, imperfect, gifted, wounded, raw, and resilient true Self. We embrace differences and encourage conversations that help us all see clearly, break down blind spots and boundaries, and build stronger relationships and community.
We care deeply about the well-being of all people and want to see everyone thrive. We acknowledge that we live and work in a country that does not give everyone equal opportunity to reach their full potential. To that end, we are evolving A Path That Fits into an anti-racist organization that actively works to dismantle racism and white supremacy. We are committed to listening, learning, and taking action to bring about the needed changes within ourselves, our organization, our community, and society. Many of our clients come to us with concerns around how they are perceived by potential employers, having been discriminated against due to age, race, gender, physical ability and appearance, neurodivergence, or many other characteristics. We promise to do our best to meet you where you’re at while acknowledging we haven’t walked in your shoes. In cases where we know someone else could serve you better, we’ll simply let you know. We can often refer to other sources of expertise.
We are in the business of helping people look deeply at themselves but none of us exist in a vacuum. We are shaped by life as we shape our lives. We’re all a product of genetics as well as our cultures, geographic locations, conditions, and circumstances. We acknowledge that it isn’t just your personality, interests, strengths, education, and work history that inform who you are and where you might go next. We respect and value all of the qualities and experiences that make you who you are.
We are grateful to our clients and colleagues for your trust and support. Thank you for your vulnerability and authenticity, and for doing the courageous work to listen to your deepest truth and embody it in life and work. You inspire us to do the same. As always, we acknowledge that we are a work in progress.
